The Crandun Technologies family of software libraries
provide an easy to use, high-performance, high-level interface to the
Acuity Research Inc.
AR200, AR600 and AR4000 laser distance sensors.
Available for Windows 2000 and XP, and Linux these highly optimized
software libraries permit the easy and rapid development of application
programs to acquire data from the Acuity Research sensors using a
variety of high-level languages on a standard PC platform.
The following libraries are available:
- The CTI-AR200 Library, for use with the AR200 series of
triangulation laser sensors.
- The CTI-AR600 Library, for use with the AR600 series of
triangulation laser sensors.
- The CTI-AR4000 Library, for use with the AR4000 series sensors without
the AccuRange high-speed interface card. This library should be used for data
acquisition using the AR4000's serial interface.
- The CTI-HSIF Library, for use with the AR4000 series sensors with
the ISA or PCI-104 version of the AccuRange high-speed interface card. This library provides a high-performance native Windows
kernel-mode driver which allows data acquisition from the high-speed interface card
at the full 50,000 samples per second rate supported by the card.
- The CTI-HSIF-PCI Library, for use with the AR4000 series sensors with
the PCI version of the AccuRange high-speed interface card. This library provides a high-performance native Windows
kernel-mode driver which allows data acquisition from the high-speed interface card
at the full 50,000 samples per second rate supported by the card.
All libraries share a common set of features including:
- Usable from C, C++ and (on Windows) Visual Basic, and Visual Basic for Applications.
- Sample programs that provide data acquisition directly
into Microsoft® Excel with no programming [on Windows].
- Ability to control multiple sensors from a single computer.
- Simple, intuitive, english-like application programming interface (API) to the sensor command set.
- Multi-threaded and interrupt driven, for highest performance.
- User-configurable data buffering and callback notification.
- Fully configurable serial port baud rate and flow control.
- Maintains state information, for easy determination of current sensor settings.
- Comprehensive error checking, reporting and recovery.
- Available for Windows or Linux.
- Sample C, C++ and Visual Basic® programs with source code and Visual C++/Visual Basic Project files are included.
- Comprehensive testing and diagnostic routines provided.
